Red Panda Facts
Did you know red pandas were the first panda? Giant pandas were discovered nearly 50 years later.
The red panda is a red brown color with faint white rings around its tail. Its face is white with red markings and black legs.
There are about only 10,000 red pandas in the wild.
Red pandas live in the mountains of Nepal and northern Myanmar, and also in central China.
A red pandas diet consists of mostly bamboo, but when its warm, sometimes fruit and possibly mice.
